Certifications

In line with Group policies, Sirap Insulation has, for some time now, adopted high standards of quality that have obtained a series of certifications both for management of company processes and for the performance requisites of individual products.

Quality Management System: Conformity to Regulation ISO 9001
Introducing a Quality management Sysytem into a company means having an efficient origanisation and the systematic check of all the activities that are necessary in order to guarantee the quality level of the product. The Quality Management System is therefore an instrument that aims at offering Client satisfaction, through the efficiency of the company.

CE marking
This distinguishes thermo insulating products in compliance with European Directive 89/106/CEE for building products. CE marking ensures that the stated characteristics of the product have been assessed by standardised testing methods and that the manufacturer has followed the certification procedure of conformity in compliance with the methods stated in the Harmonised Regulations for Products (UNI EN 13163 for Eps products and UNI EN 13164 for Xps products).

IIP-UNI: product markings
Issued by the Istituto Italiano dei Plastici (Italian Institute for Plastics) for the range of products in block-cut polystyrene foam (Eps) in complaince with the Regulation UNI EN 13163. The use of the mark IIP-UNI is allowed only to those manufacturers who, following appropriate preliminary checks to check conformity of their production to UNI regulations, are committed to maintaining the continuity of the quality level and to allow the periodic check by the Institute. The range of products used for external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS) fulfils all the conditions required by the guidelines specified in ETAG 004.

A wide range of certification distinguishes in particular GEMATHERM insulating sheets:

ACERMI:
product certification in the application of stringent General Rules and the Technical Regulations laid down by the prestigious French Notified Control organisation. The product must comply with much stricter performance characteristics than those of the product regulation in order to guarantee product safety, which are more stringent and specifically regulated for the French market.

Ü conformity mark:
A mark issued by the Deutsche Institut fur Bautechnik (DIBt) in Berlin, the German government organisation responsible for issuing the national technical authorisations (zulassungen) for the building industry. The conformity mark gives the consumer the certainty of the quality of the product and compliance with the minimum requisites for use which in Germany are governed by the Regulation DIN V 4108-10. Gematherm boasts a long list of certifications, including those concerning the application of green inverted roofing, walls against earth in the presence of ground water and below flooring with resistance to heavy loads.

FIW
The prestigious control organisation in Munich, the Forschunginstitut fur Warmeschutzt e.V. Munchen (FIW) is the Institute responsible for verifying the conformity of the product to the Regulations of reference. The constant checks undertaken by the FIW and conformity of test results allow maintaining the technical authorisations issued by DIBt, over time.

OFI
Certificate of conformity to ÖNorm B6000 with classification XPS-G30 for Gematherm XC3 and XPS-G50 (high resistance to compression for load bearing applications) for Gematherm XC5. With these classifications the product can be used in the majority of applications stated in the Austrian regulation. SIA Certification of thermal conductibility according to the Swiss Regulation SIA 279.

Sirap Insulation also refers to other main Institutes and measurement laboratories for technical testing on its thermal and acoustic insulating products. Tests on our products have been undertaken by INRIM in Turin, IGH in Zagreb, Applus in Barcellona, ITC-CNR, and many others.
